Privacy Policy

1. The Zero-Bank-Link Pledge

MoneySlinger is intentionally built without connections to financial institutions.

• No bank logins: We never request, store, or transmit your banking credentials, account numbers, or routing numbers. Please do not enter bank logins or full account numbers in your notes or labels.
• No financial aggregators: We do not partner with third-party financial data aggregators or data brokers (such as Plaid, MX, or Yodlee).
• You enter your own data: MoneySlinger works only with the numbers, categories, and tags you choose to enter. Your real bank accounts stay completely separate from our platform.
• Payments: When paid plans become available, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

2. Information We Collect

• Account details: When you register for an account or beta access, we collect your name and email address to sign you in and send service notices.
• Worksheet and budget data: The figures, line-item names, notes, session dates, and tags you enter into your Budget Worksheet, Tracking, and Flexible Red Tracker.
• Technical data: Basic diagnostic information needed to keep the app reliable and secure, such as browser type, general device information, and error logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To calculate your Session allocations, running balances, and spending averages.
• To keep your Red Tracker balance in sync across your devices and any partner or guest you share your account with.
• To provide data exports and backups.
• To send service notices and, if you joined the private beta or asked to be notified, announcements about the beta and our launch. You can opt out of these announcements at any time.
• To maintain security, fix problems, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or financial entries to third parties, advertisers, or data resellers.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in secure cloud infrastructure. Access rules tie your records strictly to your signed-in account. Because MoneySlinger does not collect bank credentials, a compromise of your MoneySlinger account should not expose your bank logins. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use only essential providers needed to run the Service: cloud hosting, sign-in, email delivery and, when paid plans begin, payment processing. They are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations and may not use your data for their own purposes.

6. Cookies and Analytics

MoneySlinger uses only essential cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party behavioral analytics on your activity.

7. Children’s Privacy

MoneySlinger is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data from our active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records, such as billing records. We may keep information that is anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Wherever you live, MoneySlinger extends these rights to every user:

• Right to know and access: Request a summary of the personal information and budget records we hold about you.
• Right to portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format such as CSV.
• Right to correct: Edit your profile and worksheet entries directly in the app, or ask us to correct them.
• Right to delete: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
• No sale or targeted advertising: We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-site advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
• Equal service: We will never penalize or charge you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

We respond to requests within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, to protect your account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through the Service before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date above shows when this policy was last revised.
